Bridesmaid Flower Bouquets - What To Do and What Not

Preparations for a wedding can be really hectic more significantly for the bridesmaids and the bride. There are many things to plan from ground zero up to the highest level of the wedding. The date and the venue will be planned by the couple and that one is going to be easy. The wedding gown and the overall look of the bride will be well taken care for as well. How about taking care of the things needed by the bridesmaids so that they too will look good in the spotlight? This is now the time to do some real thinking and thorough preparations. One noticeable facet of the bridesmaids in the wedding will be the bouquet of flowers they will hold for the grand entrance. People might think this part is not important, but it is. In fact, everything involved in a wedding is vital. So what are the things to keep in mind when it comes to the beautiful blossoms that your bridesmaid will carry on your wedding day? Here are some tips on what and what not do.

Count the Numbers

You have to plan out how many flowers you will need for your bridesmaids. Approximately you need 20 to 40 flowers for each bridesmaid and this will be up to you. Just make sure that you have all what is needed for the bouquet of your choice.

Ugly is Out!

Since you will be using real flowers (and this is recommended), make sure you take out the excess foliage and thorns. Also take a good look on each petal if there are some damages or if it looks dead then take it out. Flawlessness is the key for a beautiful bridesmaid bouquet.

Fresh or Preserved, Both Can Be Achieved

Before you give them to your bridesmaids for use, make sure these flowers have ample amount of water. To refresh bouquet of flowers put them in a bucket of water, halfway the level of the flowers to preserve their beauty. Keep them in a refrigerator if must.

Cut At the Right Time

Make sure to keep the stems long and just cut them just before use.

Making the Bouquet

Rubber bands or floral tape is great for binding the flowers together. Bind them around three to four inches below the flower heads. Then put ribbon or other decorations you have in mind when you have successfully bounded them.

This is all great when you do this in the morning of the wedding day to achieve maximum freshness of the flowers for your bridesmaids. Good luck!
